While access to fresh, local produce and other products is increasing in the U.S., so is the variety of labels on our food. What does the cage-free, grass-fed, or free-range mean and why should we care? Here is your cheat sheet for some of those fancy labels in an effort to make us more educated, healthy shoppers.

Helping Local Pantries Stock Shelves with FRESH, LOCAL Produce

According to recent studies, 1 in 5 Hoosiers don’t get enough to eat on a daily basis.

City Market wants to do its part in helping reduce that number. One way we do that is accepting SNAP EBT and WIC vouchers but we are also running a promotion this year called “Buy Two, Give One.”

Shoppers will be able to buy two fresh produce items and donate one to our weekly donation basket.
