2 containers mushrooms (any kind you find at the market) sliced
2-3 T Olive Oil
1 Medium Onion chopped
2 cloves of garlic finely chopped
3 cups beef broth
1/2 cup flour (I used white whole wheat)
3 cups warm skim milk
1/2 half and half
1/4 cup cooking sherry
salt to taste
Saute mushroom, onion, and garlic in olive oil until the onions are translucent. Add flour and then whisk in warm skim milk (SLOWLY TO MAKE FLOUR SMOOTH), beef broth, half and half, and sherry. Cook on medium low heat for about 20 minutes...don't let it boil or the milk can curdle.
