localvore, shop localIf you are looking for great vegetables throughout the winter months, Blackwell Roots Farm is the place to shop.  In their extensive system of root cellars, the farmers at Blackwell Roots have all types of winter storage vegetables to help keep the localvore community of Vermont eating well all year long!

A small family farm located in Cabot, Blackwell has been working their land on Walbridge Road since 1983.  They specialize in winter storage vegetables and lacto-fermented foods.  All of their vegetables are certified organic and guaranteed to be packed full of the natural food health benefits your body needs!  Blackwell is proud of the high-quality food they supply to their neighbors throughout the cold, dreary winter months.  Eating well is important all year round, especially during the winter when outdoor activity, produce production and physical exercise decrease.

You can find Blackwell Roots Farm at the Montpelier Winter Farmers Market on the first and third Saturdays of the month, December through April.  Products at the market include organic storage vegetables, frozen strawberries, sauerkraut and kimchi.  They also sell at their farm store, which opened up in December.  Do your best to eat healthy year-round, shop local from Blackwell Roots.
