With a rich history, the original plantation house at Ayrshire was built in 1821, over time the estate grew, shrank, changed hands and eventually ended up where they are today – a leader in farming philosophy and local food production.  Today, they are a certified organic farm that grows over 200 varieties of vegetables, fruits and herbs.  They also raise Scottish Highland cattle, Gloucester Old Spot hogs, and various breeds of free range chickens, turkeys and ducks.
