Lagrange is a lovely southern city on the western side of Georgia, not too far from the Alabama border. Surrounded by farmland, it’s hard to believe the farmers market in Lagrange is only four years old!
In 2007, a few hard working residents took the initiative and helped bring the local food movement into their community. After only one season, the market was successful enough to move downtown where they could expand and get more exposure. It was at their new home in downtown Lagrange, where their name Market on Main, was born.
Since the move, Market on Main’s success has rippled throughout the city. It shows us that bringing people and healthy local food together, isn’t just good for health, it's also good for the community. The market hopes to continue expanding and selling exceptional fruits, vegetables and specialty food items to the consumers of Lagrange.
Visit the market anytime during the farmers market season, they are open Saturday mornings from 8 am to 10 am on Main Street in downtown Lagrange. Market on Main is supporting local growers!
