Sun Gold Farm is located near West Dairy Creek which was named for the large and small dairy farms that lied along it years ago. Being so close to water makes for very fertile growing ground and a wonderful harvest of delicious fruits, plants and vegetables.

This farm also has a CSA(Community Supported Agriculture), called the"Harvest Box" . For less than 25.00 per week you will receive a share of healthy, fresh, locally grown seasonal vegetables and fruits.

In 2011 they began sharing honey shares. They started small with 100 shares that sold out very quickly. If you live in the area, you may want to sign up as soon as they open up for order, which for the 2012 season, will be in January.

Of course you don't have to be a part of the CSA to taste their great foods, you can also pick up some of their locally grown fruits, vegetables and honey from various farmers market locations in the Portland area. 

One in particular is the Hollywood Farmers Market, which is open every 1st and 3rd Saturday from 9am-1pm December-April and every Saturday 8am-1pm May-November. So come on out and get healthy foods for your family. I am loving local, how 'bout you?
